The New York Knicks have only lost one game in their last fives match-ups! This is great news considering the Knicks lost a franchise record 59 games last season. For the Knicks to have a record of 19-25 this season is definitely a testament to new head coach, Mike D’Antoni, whose guidance seems to have transpired into winning at Madison Square Garden, where the Knicks have gone 7-1 in the month of January.
Perhaps all the Knicks needed was the quick guard play of Nate Robinson, who was drafted by the Knicks back in 2005, and the three-point shooting ability of Harrington to spark them on. However, nobody in New York thought the early season trades were bright ideas, decisions that only the former general manager, Isaiah Thomas, could make. There definitely needs to be credit given to the present general manager of the Knicks, Donnie Walsh, for having the fortitude to make those trades, as well as D’Antoni for being able to coach Robinson and Harrington into his system of basketball.
